Ernando Recendez is a young emerging talent on the LA music scene. Ernando’s music prowess is building him quite a following with the young and old alike. His eclectic music style ranging from Top 40, Rock, R&B, Classic Hits and more has broken down age, ethnic, geographic and cultural boundaries.
Ernando's passion for music stems from his early immersion in the music world fostered by his vibrant, music-loving family. His parents first met in a cover band in the 80s. He says, "Music is in my blood."
Raised in Pico Rivera, CA Ernando grew up listening to music from Earth, Wind & Fire and Kool & The Gang.
The young LA native knew he wanted to make music ever since he could remember. "I'm a huge dreamer. I have these really big ideas. I've always wanted 'Ernando' to be a household name like The Beatles, Elvis, or Justin Bieber. I just want everyone to listen and sing along to my music."
Ernando attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where he studied voice, learned to sing in different languages, and learned to write songs and produce. He sees Dr. John Sr. Marie as a significant mentor. He showed me how to really understand music through listening.”
When Ernando began playing music, his family's support did not waver. He says, "My family has always supported me. They always encouraged me, if I wanted to make music, to go for it, and put my whole heart into it. And so, they're my biggest inspiration."
Among his musical inspirations are Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, and Bruno Mars. "I would love to know their thought processes behind songwriting and how to present a song. To sit down and just pick their brains would be a dream."
Ernando’s infectious personality and captivating sound provides the solid foundation on his road to stardom.
